Course Description
This course is designed to provide participants with general information for packaging hazardous material and hazardous waste. Participants receive an overview of general packaging requirements for all regulated materials according to 49 CFR. Also identified are specific authorizations, exceptions, and variations that may be applied to packaging.
Materials Provided
Materials will be provided to facilitate completing the course.
Examination
Successful completion is achieved with a passing score of 80% or better on a written exam.
Record Keeping
Successful participants receive a certification stating that the training meets the requirements of 49 CFR 172, Subpart H.
Who should Attend?
Personnel who identify, procure, or certify authorized packaging used for the transport of hazardous materials or hazardous wastes.
Prerequisites
None
Equivalencies must be approved by the Atkins Training Manager.
