Course Description
This course, when taken in conjunction with Module 1 – Basic Hazardous Material Transportation, provides the participant with additonal basic information specific to the transportation of radioactive materials. Participants will learn to apply the DOT regulations to make radioactive material shipping decisions. This training fulfills the hazmat employee training requirements in 49 CFR 172, Subpart H. AAHP has awareded twenty-four (24) CEUs for this class.
Materials Provided
Materials will be provided to facilitate completing the course.
Examination
Successful completion is achieved with a passing score of 80% or better on a written exam.
Record Keeping
Successful participants receive a certification stating that the training meets the requirements of 49 CFR 172, Subpart H.
Who should Attend?
Hazmat employees, as defined by DOT, who are required to make determinations about radioactive shipments but do not certify those shipments.
