Course Description – Basic IATA
This course is designed to provide participants with a basic understanding of the IATA regulations specific to the safe transportation of dangerous goods, including radioactive materials. This training utilizes a systematic approach that provides a logical flow to dangerous goods shipments. This ensures that all necessary steps are completed to ship dangerous goods in full compliance with IATA and Department of Transporation regulations.
Materials Provided
Materials will be provided to facilitate completing the course.
Examination
Successful completion is achieved with a passing score of 80% or better on a written exam.
Record Keeping
Successful participants receive a certification stating that the training meets the requirements of IATA, Section 1.5.
Who should Attend?
Employees who are involved with preparation of Dangerous Goods shipments and are working with a certified shipper.

None
Equivalencies must be approved by the Atkins Training Manager.
